In Pursuant to its mandate, the Botswana Communications Regulatory Authority, (BOCRA, or the Authority) among other things, is to establish and maintain a non-discriminatory and efficient domain names system regulatory framework to be applied by all service providers and licensed operators to ensure fair access to such services and the efficient allocation of domain names.
 
Section 4 of the CRA Act of 2012, (hereinafter, the Act) further mandates BOCRA to protect both the consumers and other ICT users of the said services. Section 8 of the Act further states that, the Authority can from time-to-time request information from its Licensees regarding their services, for compliance purposes and Know Your Customers (KYC) processes.
 
Based on the above, BOCRA is currently undertaking a domain audit to assess the status of the .BW domain among its Registrars. Therefore, you are requested to follow the link below and complete the questionnaire before the 11th of November 2022.
